The Baddest GTi on The Planet!

The Volkswagen R GTi premiered at the 2006 SEMA Show, but it still stands as the baddest example of the MKV GTi around. Lightened, widened, lowered, stiffened, and with 360 hp courtesy of APR Tuning, this sport econo car is the essence of hot hatch; doing 0-60 in 5.5 seconds. But the craziest part of this ride, might be its 2+2 race seating, complete with a custom harness system.

sorry the front end looks like something someone made with need for speed and autosculpt. aside from that it's pretty nice, like the interior with the 4 bucket seats and harnesses..

@bodya916 I'm not denying they are quick, they are. I just dont think they are as fast as claimed. And a 1.8 might not be able to keep up, but the original thing you said was this car is slower than your vr6.. Beating a 1.8t and this car are two different things. If you had originally said your 24v vr6 beats a 1.8 then yea, I would have agreed.

@bharvey2010 i have 03 vr6 6 speed with cat back and cold air intake, trust me its pretty quick, none of the 1.8 can keep up

@bodya916 I hope you dont think you are actually that fast. Dont get me wrong I LOVE the VR6 but a mkIII GLX jetta will run about 7.7 0-60 and if you are in an mkIV you will likely be a tad slower since they weigh more...
