As a liberal woman, I have no problem with conservative women celebrating themselves or their accomplishments. The GREAT thing about women is that they are not the same as men (grand as that gender is), and therefore solve problems differently. Traditionally, women have supported each other. I hope that no one is suggesting that, as mothers, we don't all love our children and country, or that we do not all work to do the best we can for our families.

the sudden push for women to join combat units has come up recently. my question? does this come with a requirment for all women 18 and up to register with selective service? will their education and grants be held hostage like their male peers?

Remember when Obama's stimulus pkg also guaranteed bonuses for AIG, Fanny & Freddie? Corporate taxes in America are the highest in the world now. We were 2nd to Japan for years, but now we're #1. Fair is a relative term. If it's fair for one person to get welfare, then it's fair for another. I don't like welfare for anyone, but let's not pick favorites. Either no one gets it or everyone gets it. Also, corporate tax breaks are contingent upon meeting certain criteria that helps America.

We're calling man-made global warming a hoax and many scientists agree. We house our own children, feed them good nutrition, and provide them healthcare OURSELVES. What ever happened to personal responsibility? Why is it always the government's job to provide everything? For hundreds of years no one got government help with those things and they survived. And you can't just blame Republicans for wars. The Democrats do it too. War is a bipartisan issue.

There was also an end in sight then....there isn't now. It actually looks like it will jsut keep increasing with no slowing down....ever. The Baby Boomers also saved money and didn't spend like mad. This generation is giving all their money to other countries by buying all their goods and not saving money. That makes a difference.
