About 100 demonstrators gathered in Lima, Peru on Saturday to call for an end to bullfighting. Fake blood was spattered across their bodies and fake barbed spears, called bandilleras, were taped to their backs. (Nov. 5)

I'm from Lima, Peru. I was there helping, and I can say that 90% of those activists (including myself) were vegans. This video summarizes the whole event which lasted 3 hours and there was anti bullfighting music, and anti bullfighting speeches while the guys were lying on the floor. Even tourists took pictures of the event, it was very emotive. We are sure that we are going to get what we are looking for: abolition in the next few months.
