Adam Adli: UPSI should have just expelled me

Student activist Adam Adli Abdul Halim courted controversy for defying the norm in challenging his peers to stand up for their voices to be heard.

And for that he was booted out of his university for three whole semesters - 18 months in all.

The 22-year-old who is in his third-year at Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris (UPSI), was, when suspendedon Jan 9, accused of damaging the good name of the institution and disrupting public order.

Students in UK lol-ing when I told them malaysian education system especially the the high education dont have this freedom of academic. They said Malaysian students are just too lazy to participate and care about their own rights as a student, as a citizen.

asyik akedamik freedom ja. bosan la bro..apa kata kau cipta teknologi atom ke, jadi penganalisis ekonomi ke yg boleh jatuhkan amerika punya mata wang ke, jadi engineer yg boleh cipta roket sampai marikh ke...barulah org maw dengar kau cakap pa..nih asek cakap kebebasan akedamik..research pon x buat lagi.ceh.
