Bangkok Snake Show

A rather cheesy snake show near BKK with a even cheesier tour group. Still the guys are doing some pretty dangerous stuff with snakes that are ostensibly venomous. At the very least they are avoiding getting nipped by the vipers.

Agreed. We are all fairly stupid. What do you suggest as an alternative--or rather, how are you less stupid than we stupids at the snake show in Bangkok?

Makes me sad to se people treating animals that way. What a shame :-(

It was a ghastly show--but if you've travelled, and taken these kinds of touristy "cattle car" tours, you know this kind of show is commonplace.

Just asking, but although this is hard to watch, how is it different from how more common farmyard animals are treated in our own country (I'm American). Factory farming and killing--it's more useful, but ultimately not less exploitative.

But I have to agree--this show is ghastly. Even more ghastly are the fattys in the audience!

Fair enough. I would say it didn't rank so high on the taste scale. Having said that, it was certainly an interesting slice of culture in its spupidity.
