Isn't deadpool's immortality a form of mutation? How is he not a mutant?

You see, in the Marvel universe a "Mutant" is classified as someone born with a X-gene or the source of a mutant's powers.

Wade Wilson, going through the Weapon X program was given a synthetic healing factor artificially, therefore he is technically not a mutant by their standards.

By our standards, he would be. It's really just semantics in the Marvel U. Like Spider-man, not a mutant.

Conveniently, I was flipping through a Marvel encyclopedia earlier today and saw that there was an Agent x, so I know who the heck it is.

By the way, if you ever need anyone to play The Crow or Moon Knight or Joey Chapman, I will be there. I would LOVE to help you kick butt, and I know how to do it, too! I'm also moderately good at fencing and archery, as well as shurikenjitsu.
