Excel's MATCH function finds items in a list. Combine with VLOOKUP for flexible formulas.

  • Great vid, took me forever to figure out how to do a vlookup when I had to do a search with an ID w. a combo of text and # 's in a cell, but by using a match feature to reference the ID row number I put it in a different cell and could vlookup that bc it was a #. Very clear and helpful!
