@greatwhite4191 this is a spoonbill catfish not an alligator gar. tell ur son to come to wet tn on the tn river. he can fill his boat wit gar. this catfish however is very rare here

here in SC getting a gar fish means good luck, they are respected as a prehistoric fish with great hunting abilities, attack at lightening speed, my son has been trying to catch one for over a year now, still has not.

i was in mizzou 1st week in april snagging in the osage just down from bagnell dam we did good got plenty my biggest was round 55ish lbs and the best eating fish i have ever had. good times cant wait till next year for my vacation

did you put in in town by the jump stop? i put in there and fish the gallinipper. but we didn't get any spoonies there this year but the ozarks are awsome right now!
