@Vorobye They sang 3 strophes out of 5. Katyusha contains 4 strofes and the 5th is same like 1st. The most common is version with 5 strophes. In every strophe is 3rd and 4th line singed twice.

For thos who think they know, but don't. And for those who know but think they don't know. The song is an old Russian song. The song has nothing to do with an arms race or with communism. Just the same as an american is not per definition always a cowboy or a German an adept of the nsdap.
The song is a very nice Russian song which brings all Russians together, without regard for their political views.
