Chaos for American Airlines

Apr 9 - More than 1,000 flights were cancelled by American Airlines -- as the carrier conducted mandated safety inspections of its MD-80 aircraft. Wednesday's cancellations at American will likely cost the airlines tens of millions of dollars -- a financial hit to the carrier and a major headache for infuriated passengers. Jon Decker reports.

Everything at AA is chaos today. Gerard Arpey´s family should be order by court to fly with AA for three months straight in coach all over the US, i bet none of them will come out alive after that nightmare with delay´s, cancelled flights, lost luggage, non existing service, rude cabin crews and everything in between that is the trade mark for AA today.

Yes, he is a total loser. Lives are nothing, but the bonus in his pocket is everything. There are also very shady things that happen at O'Hare AA gates and I think he knows all about it. He is a money hungry whore who will probably dance on tables with tassles and go go boots after he bks this company.

it isn't just that. Arpey is simply an idiot! He has all of this money that he should be spending towards replacing the MD-80 fleet with newer, safer, more fuel-efficient and more technologically advanced aircraft of similar size, but NO! instead, he keeps the old planes, which costs everyone money AND puts lives in danger. NICE!!!

Does anyone remember when the Moonies used to hang out at O'hare, the cult group? Well, I think that things have been revived and they have a few Flirty Fishes hanging out at the AA gates.

No. He is not a leader--he is a thief. The execs knew that those aircraft needed maintenance but did not do it until they were caught. However, the bonuses were put in their pockets. Now I read that AA is cutting back flights 11%, adding costs because it cannot keep up with fuel prices. I guess the execs want to pad their pockets before AA goes under. I wonder if Arpey will ever work again after this mess.

The reason it sucks becuz they dont have money to pay for their fuel, all those crappy airlines, il prefer to fly on an International Flights such as France,British, or Arab Airlines ( atleast they give a very good service)
