this is my try at yr questions
1)i dont know lol srry
2)there not required for group pve but id like one in my group does melee and ranged dps (if u count pet)
3)orb more damage and bluffs
4)some pets r needed for diff things and maybe they thought that it wasnt the right thing to use or they dont have that spell yet to low i dunno

u could sub out the sorc for sm but u woundnt but u should always have a tank (temp, heals cleric, bluffer/off tank/dps chanter) and assassin can be switched for ranger

gladiator has nasty aoe so if a templar uses that pull skill and the sorc/gladiator wait for it they can probably down a shit load of ppl at the same time XD.

Tbh your gameplay really has big flaws. For instance you use all of your instant spells while your target isnt even yet aware of your presence. You should use all casting while you have the time to place them and keep instants for the kite phase.
Plus sumon fire energy +wind spirit is a kinda sucky combo
