Never been that far, but read a lot. Did you know it used to be a France style ariel ferry during the Depression years? [And that Duluth is the home birthplace of famous singer/songwriter Bob Dylan?]

@dennismanvids everyone must leave the bridge when it is going up. there is even an acconmnet before it lifts that everyone must leave to bridge but back in the 60's they let people ride the bridge for 25 cents

my grandma lives there every summer i go up there last year the horn of the bridge made me jump

Is it somehow ok to be standing on the bridge (only in the middle never at the ends) when it goes up ? If so or by permision to take pictures and videos when boats go under ? this would be perfect scenes for real good pics & vids and of interest to the youtube elevator experts

The memories. When I lived there we could hear the horns of the ships from our house, and we would often spend the whole day at the park taking walks and eating popcorn. The Grandma's restaurant there has some awesome food too...
