The reason I think they chose this old song is because they don't have access to any of MJ's newer songs, wasn't MJ's hard drive missing?

I think the reason this song was chosen was because it happened to have the same name as the tour and of the movie.Even if they had picked a different unreleased song, it wouldn't have mattered. Any music released now is going to be his unreleased stuff/remixes of released stuff. It's part of a 7 (or 10?) year deal made with the Michael Jackson Estate and Sony. This Is It coincidentally was the name of the tour/DVD.

wow i have never seen such a long never-ending documentary of sorts on Micheal I never even heard about his charities other than he had charities, never knew how extensive. I however do know something about Micheal and with my life the way it is I may have something in common, * i cant sing in the shower so it aint the singing. Its many things. @kellynjk1 Ummm. I don't recall what I said for you to omment so hope it's ok I just comment based on your post ok? I agree the song TII wasn't up to MJ's standards, he probably just kept a copy for archival reasons, but we don't really know what went on behind the scenes as to why that particular song (not just the title or chorus) was chosen in the 1st place. I 'm hoping that whatever went on there, stops there & the new album will be much more professional & with MJ's vision to guide it.

I agree that they needed it to fit the movie, but it definitely is not up to MJ's standards and I doubt he would have released it like this. HIs work is just so much more refined and detailed - it was for marketing / commercial effect that's all. Which is abit of a shame that they're now messing with the legacy of the high quality of music that Michael produced in his lifetime.

I think they just had to come up with a song quickly after Michael died to give the movie it's own tune and they chose this, because the name supports the movie..
