  • grams

The glass slide container is the thing you put the glass slides used for microscope in. I just happened to have a couple of these and they worked.

I'm thinking you could probaly use something simliar, like a small plastic bottle maybe even a plastic baggy

  • can you please post a video on how to make these?

  • Are you looking for anything specific? like what type of container I used, or the rather the compositon?

  • well both i guess. how many grams of each make a good poof like that? 50/50 mix by weight? what container? how sensitive/dangerous is this stuff mixed? how do you mix it? do you need a steel backing for it to work or just the thing alone works? are copper bullets needed or does regular lead work just fine? any info is greatly appreciated. for my safety... thanks!

  • Heres the formula I used:

    44 CuO

    10 Bright Al Flake

The bright flake was the -325 coated Al off of Skylighter

I used glass slide containers, which seemed to work better then the empty syringe containers I was using.

They were about 4 inches tall by 1.5 inches wide by .75 inches deep

I thought they were pretty unsensitive. They withstood the 6 hour car ride to get the shooting area.

  • For mixing it, I just took how much I needed of each chemical added them to a cup, closed the top, and shook to get them evenly mixed

We just used a piece of wood as the backing. If you were to use metal you would have to watch for ricochets

We were using copper jacketed lead bullets so nothing special

These are extremely fun, if you can hit them
