Best cranked up to 9......teen. Taxi Driver, music & lyrics by Howard Jackson and Peter Blakeley, one of the only co-written songs in Howard's career. Written in a little caravan down the East coast of Australia while taking a break from the city. Howard and Peter both drove night hacks while trying to make ends meet working as songwriter/musicians in the early days. Scott Phillips (on drums) did as well. If memory serves correctly Peter got robbed on his first night, at knife-point I seem to recall or maybe it was a bit of strangulation from over the back seat. Something unpleasant at least.
This clip also contains the only footage of the original Sweet Poison, Howard, Scott and Micheal Graham on bass. (Yes Micheal.) Live recording at a gig always referred to by the band as the Tollgate Murders after an incident where the trio interrupted a bike gang doing whatever they were doing when they turned up for the lug in. Also unpleasant.
