They are not the same thing. Not even by a stretch. Unless the air is SO compressed it has the viscosity of liquid. Try the experiment with a compressed air can. Blow the compressed air over your hand. Does it get cold, or hot? If friction were the controlling factor, you hand would feel warmer. Better yet, be quantitative and use a thermometer. The thermometer should be dry, to account for any decrease in temperature due to evaporation of water.

True, but if you give it a far stretch, they are still the same thing. That is how they are able to incorporate into this song, so just go with it.
