Had a similar situation recently referring to someone speaking negatively to me daily after we had broken up. Posing as my friend but every so often he would make it a point to make statements that wished me bad in finding someone new. He had a new girl, but called me several times a day just to make sure I wasn't getting too happy without him. I did get counseling. It's helping. I also had a good friend answer the phone the last time he called to tell him not to call anymore. much happier now.
