it works but is the fan supposed to kick in after 5mins coz ours has and is quite loud. not complaining though

DO NOT DO THIS!!!!!! idiot. what you are basicaly doing is heating up all of the inerds, baaad! usualy the problum is overheating, ie the thermal paste is bad on the chips, so scrap it off and put new on, posibly need to reflow the chips first. dont bake the ps3.

Should it be too hot to touch? What sort of temperature are we talking about? Not in numbers (degree's, Celsius, or Fahrenheit) but to describe what it is like. Just before it melts? Or just "warmish"?

@cpmc1 Well this was way back in feb so i cant exactly remember but form what i can remember it should be hot to the point just before you think it will melt. It has to get hot to melt the solder on the board.
