The S turns were to bleed off altitude because this is an approach from a high altitude to keep from getting shot.

@topco130 Do they often mortar/bomb/sabotage a runway purposely to disrupt landing supplies? I am guessing all those dark spots are areas that were repaired?

@Orangebike666 All those round black spots are where rapid runway repair teams have tried to repair bomb craters in the runway.
