@puffykhan so far the ice packs have been wonderful and I have used then since 2008. Oh yeah,; my pcp, pain specialist, and neurologist all know that I use ice on my feet for pain relief.

I have had this burning now for about one - two years .... The pain is the WORST pain I think I have EVER had ... and I am no stranger to pain ... To look at my feet you cannot see anything wrong really, except maybe some dry skin patches and redness ... If you rub them, you can feel the hard bumps ... Those spots send sharp, shooting pains up my feet. ... The WORST part of this is the burning ... It feels like someone or thing is putting out cigarettes in my feet ... Can anyone identify ???

@99minerkc - I read that ICE packs can actually worsen the condition by causing painful bone spurs as well as the burning ...

So basically you are saying-you just don't know.

Hello everyone... guys I’m having the same feet burning problem from 2006 and trust me some time in the night i can’t bare this pain. I visited many of best doctors in Kuwait and Pakistan but everyone told me to reduce the weight. If u thinks that you are overweight then try hard to reduce your weight.
Secondly avoid running & don’t ware tight shoes and try to wear net socks

I wish I could start prescribing medical marijuana (darn Feds overturning California initiatives).
I wouldn't be too overly concerned about HIV and burning feet. In the absence of other more telling symptoms, I'd say you're okay.
You can get a simple blood check to calm your fears.

Well, it would depend on where the pinched nerve is. Some people can develop foot symptoms from sciatica (when the pinched nerve is way up in the buttock area).
If it's a foot pinched nerve, she would benefit from wearing metatarsal pads (to separate the toes) and a series of sclerosing injections.
