  • this shit isnt rite picking on how a dead guy talks?? i like weird al but he did this after kurt cobain died ah wat the hell funny shit =)

  • acutally the song was made while kurt cobain was still alive...kurt thought that it was funny, he was asked on the set of saturdya night live by one of the cast members at the time...

  • he does have original material but is best known for his parodies.

  • The irony of someone complaining he got the lyrics wrong in a song about getting the lyrics wrong is priceless.

  • this may sound weird but i think al is using kurt's clothes every performance of smells like nirvana. it's either he borrowed it from kurt then legally bought it after kurt was murdered/commited suicide or someone made those clothes exactly like kurt's.

  • @wealldie12 If I may add on to this, Kurt wrote in his Journals book that Al is America's Pop Genius, video exists of Krist saying they all thought it was really funny, and Dave Grohl said that was the moment he realized Nirvana made it in the music buisness:when they saw the Weird Al parody. In fact when Al pitched the idea to Kurt, he asked "Is it going to be about food?"

  • @CantFigureOutAnyName The majority of his output is original material, but he is best known for his parodies.

  • he did this when they were still alive cuz cobain gave him permission and liked it and thought he was a musical genius

  • weird al is a comedy genius. this is better than the original, the lyrics actually mean something.

  • @wealldie12 this song came out 1992 and kurt's version came out '91. wierd al ask kurt to parody it. and kurt ask if it was going to be food haha

  • @KatieLovesGreenDay it was made before he was dead about 2 months after the video was released

  • Ha Steve Jay throws his bass like Krist Nolvesic did at the MTV movie awards years back haha

  • @godzillo He didnt kill himself! He was murdered, but they didnt find the evidence in time to prove that so his death was ruled as a suicide.

  • @KatieLovesGreenDay He actually made this parody while Kurt Cobain was alive, and Kurt even liked this song. :/ How is this disrespectful to Kurt? If anything, he would have encouraged us to like this more than even his own song (since he hated SMTS)
