SpurguX (pc dos)

The game is normally completely silent so I added some of the most familiar dos music on the background. If you don't recognize where the music is from you shouldn't admit it.

"SpurguX is a Finnish humoristic rogue-like adventure game, which was programmed by Petri Niska in the year 1987. The game is also available for Unix...There's a Java based mobile game in development, but it's uncertain if it's going to be finished..."

"SpurguX is "based on real events", in which the antihero crawls through the city while searching for the bottle of cognac which is rumored to be located in the level 50. He's only accompanied by a great thirst...One of the most common ways to die is by hangover, which results from losing points in the per mil counter. This is why the player is constantly searching for drinks. In each level, there's usually dots which need to be collected before advancing to the next level.

The characters:

@ = Player

C = Cop - The police will chase the player when committing forbidden acts.

M = Granny. She can be killed quite easily, but then the cops will attack. You can get money from the granny and this will buy some drinks from the liquor store.

B = Pistepirkko?? Jumps over the level and eats the dots.

N = Nigger

T = Tech student - Tries to sell Hälp - magazine, which will be purchased no matter what you do.

P = Punk - Punks come in groups and by killing the boss (Ñ) one obtains the chains, perhaps the most powerful weapon in the game.

K = Kake - He will scrounge for beer.

V = Pocket tief.

H = Gay.

h = Wanton woman, she will sell herself for 50mk.

O = Skinhead.

Q = Bootlegger.

H = Hippie - Hits the player with a drug needle, which transports him to a random level and causes hallucinations. Also, you can't attack gays in this state and instead, they are turned into "nice boys".

A = AIDS-carrier (Sven-Olof)

J = Yuppie

Ω = Bouncer - Sometimes keeping guard at the gate which leads to the next level and asking for tip. Usually he wants it all.

R = Priest - He will preach about the dangers of alcohol.

E = Jail convict.

G = Gorilla.

U = Redneck

D = Dog

L = Social worker

S = Snake

X = Politician

Y = Gypsy

Weird game, and as far as I understood, not very politically correct. Shame on me for not recognizing the music... anyway, it's very likely an OPL-3 track, isn't it?
