Well, Hamachi's still necesarry for people who either can't or don't know how to open ports on their router. But if you fight someone who has the required port open, you can just connect directly to their IP, like me for example. XFire's a messaging client for gamers, which has an in-game hook that lets you resume your conversations without minimizing whatever game you're playing. XFire supports MBAC, but not in that way. You can launch it from XFire, though.

Well, we don't really use Hamachi much anymore, but we use an XFire chatroom called "mbac". You can type that in the Enter Chatroom dialogue, just remember to save the room. There isn't always people there (especially this early in the morning, but it generally picks up in the afternoons and evenings.
