This is a project that I just completed and thought that I would post for those that are interested in the DHC-2 Beaver 25e or the DElight lighting system

  • how did you getthe lights/wires ect thru there being its an arf. reason i ask is i have a beaver on order and would like to add lights?

  • The wing ribs have cut outs that allow you to fish a wire through it. I just cut the wing tip to the size of the light and then drilled a hole big enough for the wire to fit through. Catch the wire will a stiff wire and pull. Routing the wires was really easy.

  • Nice looking.. Would like to see an actual night flight with it. I also run the Delight Lighting system, and feel that it is the best out there. I find that I like having my NAV lights on solid vs blinking. One other thing that I have noticed, is that I like 2 NAV Lights on each wing (one visible from the top and one from the bottom). At altitude, I seem to lose one wing because of the wing angles.

  • I like the flexibility of the Delight. I did run into a programming issue on a couple of them but I used a simpler program on those two and used them on different planes. I really like having the landing lights come on when the flaps are down, it helps me to remember what condition the flaps are in.

  • I have not flown yet, I live in Oregon and I might have to wait till this next summer before it is dry enough to fly!

  • is it for beginners?

  • Man that's cool! Have you flown her yet? I have the beaver and I like it for the most part. The only thing I dislike is the fact I must drive fifteen minutes to go fly it. Other than that, it's a neat plane. Good luck! Sweet lights!
