Crouse Hospital's Witting Surgical Center: Construction Timeline

A chronological look at the construction of the Witting Surgical Center at Crouse Hospital. This new, 90,000 square foot facility places our high-quality, leading-edge surgical program in a state-of-the art, patient- and staff-friendly environment. Eleven new operating rooms are scheduled to open in early Dec. 2010, with an additional three opening summer 2011. When completed in its entirety, the Witting Surgical Center will feature:
· Large operating rooms that can accommodate the increasing space needs brought on by complex surgeries and continuous technological advances in surgical care;
· Ample room for new and expanded programs in specialty areas such as orthopedics, vascular surgery, neurosurgery and robotics;
· Waiting areas that will provide guests with the comfort and amenities that are expected in healthcare facilities today;
· A facility designed to enhance Crouse Hospital's patient safety and HIPAA efforts; and
· Room for the addition of outpatient operating rooms and future expansion of the hospital's Emergency Department.
