This 1977 performance from New York's legendary CBGB's proves why The Dead Boys were the epitome of snotty punk rock. Characterized by Stiv Bator's audience provoking on-stage antics, along with the band's aggressive power chord punch, the Dead Boys have earned their title as one of the greatest and most influential punk bands in history. @stutaggart What was UNLUCKY was that I drove the dude down there. He tagged along with some other dude I knew. Just my luck. CBGBs was a VERY scary place.

Cheetah is playing a Gibson Melody Maker with 2 pick ups. It was made somewhere between 1959 and 1962. It came with a tremolo bar option that he does not have on his guitar. It was removable leaving a stationary bridge.

I was kicked in the head by Stiv at CBGBs circa 78-79. Not deliberately but because some bloke behind me was spitting beer at him and so I put my head down as I was being drenched. I felt something soft strike my head--Stiv fortunately was wearing sneakers--and when I looked behind me Stiv and this shit were fighting before the bouncer broke it up. Awesome...
