gotta respect Green Day for covering such a great song! At least we know their influences were some of the greatest bands of all time!

If someone is going to do a cover without changing much, then do it live and not release it as a single. Billy Joe Armstrong seems to understand that, if you are doing a cover but not changing anything but the vocal style (so its sounds modern) then release it as a single, its just a cheap cash in. But if you just sing it live, then its more like a tribute. I'm not a huge Green Day fan but they did do the song justice and they didn't cash in on it. (but that drummer is no Keith Moon)
