Museveni Threatens Kenya

It is the 12th of May 2009, a spanner has been thrown into the works over the Migingo island dispute between Kenya and Uganda. In remarks timed to coincide with the official launch of the joint survey to determine the location of the island in Lake Victoria, Ugandas president Yoweri Museveni unleashed a fresh bombshell over the saga when claimed that while island belonged to Kenya, all the surrounding waters belonged to Uganda. And in a stern message delivered in an interview with the BBC radio, Museveni described as 'mad' those on the Kenyan side uprooting the railway to protest Ugandas occupation of the island saying they would be ones to lose if Uganda enforced the law because the Kenyan fisher folk would not be allowed into the waters surrounding the island.
