In this video I share my thoughts on the MUFE HD Foundation. I have combination skin and I'm an NC30 in the summer (NC25 in the winter). I was "matched" to #128.

Price: 40 USD / 46 CAD @ Sephora

Pros:
- Good coverage
- Flawless finish
Cons:
- Poor staying power on my skin
- Got very oily after only a few hours
- This colour wasn't a great match for me after all (too orangey), but I can't say they DON'T have a match for me in another colour because I haven't tried another one.

Would I recommend? No, but it may just be my skin type, since many people have said great things about this foundation. If you're considering this foundation, definitely ask for a sample and try it out for a few days first.

My current everyday foundations:
- MAC StudioTech
OR
- MAC Studio Fix Powder

Thanks for watching!

  • i have the mac moisture tint and it moisturizes and provides the right amount of coverage and color to your face without it being to heavy! it my favorite go to product! i really recommend that everyone try this! Along with a light application of mineralize skin finish looks great over it!

  • I did get a sample of this when the Baby Blooms collection came out, but I wasn't a fan for the first couple times using it. But recently I tried it again and I'm liking it more and more!! I'm seriously considering buying the full size :) Thanks for the tip!

  • Whats that sign say hanging above the door?...something ren something

  • It means "Ladies Street" which is a name for a shopping market area in Hong Kong :) The sign is just kind of a touristy souvenir I brought home with me hehe :D

  • I live in Vancouver as well. I tend to be pretty active so I sweat, and I also have eczema so I get patches of dry skin on my face. Instead of using liquid foundation I decided to try BareEscentuals mineral powder foundation, they sell the starter kit at Sephora or Shoppers Drug Mart. So far I like it because it doesn't feel like I'm wearing makeup and the coverage is fairly good, it looks very natural. I would suggest doing a review of the BareEscentuals kit =p

  • Ya I think I've developed kind of a dislike for liquid foundations (just based on my limited experience so far)...but I still go back and try new ones every once in a while just to keep an open mind haha...still always disappointed :(

Thanks for the tip!! I haven't really gotten into mineral foundations too much yet...but I definitely should ^^

  • If you have oily skin why didn't you try the MUFE Mat Velvet + Foundation? No matter how good a foundation is, if it isn't meant for your skin type then it won't work.

I have combination skin and I use both the MUFE HD Foundation and the MUFE Mat Velvet + and they both work well for me even in the summer (where I live it's about 33 degrees on average).

I would suggest getting a sample for Mat Velvet + in a shade meant for yellow undertones since #128 is meant for beige undertones.

  • (: Hello, I thought that the HD foundation makes your skin look glowy and dewy not oilyy. :S

  • Go for lancome's maqui blanc miracle foundation. I have oily-sensitive skin and it does wonders. Lasted very long and doesnt feel heavy at all. :))

  • Thats funny, before you said you felt your face was a little orange, I was going to leave a comment telling you that I didn't feel you are matched correctly for #128. I'd say you are more of a #127. Definitely go for one that has only yellow undertones not beige and definitely not pink. Good video, kudos.

  • what other makeup do you wear that works for you??? I also have oily skin and am looking for a new foundation. Im currently using studio gear at the moment and want a new foundation since i look powderer

  • I liked the MUFE HD foundation but not enough to pay over $40. After I finished my sample I decided to pass (but the color was perfect). I do like the MUFE Matte + Velvet way better. BUT I still think it's not that much better than my Revlon Colorstay which is less than 1/2 the price. I might even like my Revlon Photo ready just as much too.... I dunno. Maybe I'm just a cheapo. :P

  • @rikkuffx2 i'm a nc 30 too but more on the lighter side and 120 works well for me

  • @23Crysti it wouldnt give a white cast because it has no SPF in it and is made for being on camera and photo taking

  • heey, im around NC25 - 30 as well and i think 120 works really well for me so maybe you wanna try that and get a sample maybe?

i like the foundation but i think its kinda over hyped ... just a little haha

  • Would this foundation be good for taking pictures (wedding pictures)? Would it give me that white cast effect? If so, can you recommend a good drugstore and/or high end foundation that wont?

  • cant really take your opinion about the product because your not putting on the product the right way ...

  • uuu ddooo ur makeup alllll wrongg sweetie
