Super Hang-On on Commodore Amiga

This is not a review, walkthrough, playthrough, or demonstration of my playing ability.
It's more a case of me speaking my thoughts while playing the games, many for the first time, and most for the first time in a very long time... so it's all a little spontaneous and random.
Predictably, as I never practice before recording, I usually play very badly.

Given that I am playing many of these games for the first time, and everything I say is completely off the cuff, you probably shouldn't take what I say overly seriously. The opinions that I express are my feelings at the time, but it's entirely possible that they would be different if I were to take the time to get to grips with the game.

However, given that these videos are intended to show that "first time experience", I believe they have some validity or merit.

When you think about how bad arcade conversions can be on Home Computers, you have to realise that Hang-On is great.

The MD version has bigger sprites and is more impressive, but the Amiga version is still nice and has better quality music.

I still like the Master System version of Super Hang-On, as it's very easy lol

@kingstonlj Oh yeah, this is by no means bad, and much better than many of those early Sega arcade conversions that appeared on the Amiga.

If I'd never played the Megadrive version, I'd probably have been extremely impressed.

This is pretty pants compared to the Mega Drive's version. That said, it did come out three years after this version.

Haha!! Nothing like a 10am Super Hang On bender to end the day. I dunno how you avoided crashing for so long with the cat's head in the way.

Re: the mouse controller: it's better than the nonresponsive arcade bike controller thing on which I once played Super Hang On in Ilfracombe! That thing was broken as hell.
