Egypt Slams Hamas, Says It Will Not Allow Islamic State In G

A top Egyptian official lashed out against Hamas on Wednesday, saying that Egypt will not allow the Palestinian terrorist organization to set up a quote unquote Islamic emirate in the Gaza Strip. The official, Mustafa el-Fiqi, is the head of the Egyptian Parliament's foreign relations committee. The comments come amid increasing tensions between Egypt and Hamas, especially after the terrorist organization boycotted Egypt-mediated Palestinian reconciliation talks in Cairo last month. 12/04/08
