  • är det asp du gör klockan av?

  • @swedishhunter21 Hei, det er furu eg brukar til klokka på DVD-en.

  • Yes, it is #1 - 30mm (1 1/4") I am using here. A skew #2 - 16mm (5/8") is good to have and also #3 - 25mm (1") besides many other. I like to use as big tools as possible. In the internett shop where they sell this DVD in US; they have a list with all the tools I am using in this DVD. Good luck.

  • Now you are using fresh pine , aren't you ? But when it dries , it tends to crack . How do you prevent that ? För övrigt är du verkligen ingen vanlig snickare , utan en fin konstnär . Med vördnadsfull hälsning till dig !

  • @Turksarebarbarians Thank you! Mostly I use wood that is dried before carving, then it won't crack after carving. I prefere air dried wood.

  • What wood is that? Lind? Birch?

  • I'm using Norwegian pine in this project. However, birch is also fine.

  • I can't wait for Christmas, I'm getting this DVD. I love it, beautiful work. In the video during the rough out at about :43 sec, you are using a wide chisel (looks like a 60mm? Is that a #1? I'm looking at adding a larger heavy duty chisel in the 60mm range to my set but am torn as to whether I should get a #1 or a 2-3? I love this style of wood carving (Acanthus, Norwegian type style) Which chisel would you recommend? Thank you for this great video!
