If you've never seen a slot car race lately, check this out. A lot has changed since the 60's.

  • Is this on Mason Road?

  • Yes. They have just moved, but just down the road from where they were.

  • I still have my Defalco controller with an Omni stick on it and a brake controller with bypass. Wish I could sell it!

  • List it on Ebay.... It's still good for most drag racing. Worth about 50 bucks.... jf

  • 9 sec? Could you spare it?

  • It is a bit short but the camera I shot it on was an older Cannon digital that only shot movies in 10 sec. bursts. Sort of the Model T of still and movie combo cameras.... jf

  • What's obviously didn't change is that cars still jump out of their slots

  • Yes this track is in the West oaks Mall on the Alamo Draft house side..Its one of the Fastest tracks in the World with the Owner PA Watson being Multiple National and World Champion..

  • The man at 0:08 was like: trolololol

  • @c0uchsl0uch - There is a trigger for speed and braking. Steering is provided by the slot in the track (hence the name "slot cars"). Think Scalextric on steroids.

  • was sind das für autos?wer hat so eine bahn in österreich?

  • what did just happened? :O

  • Holy... That's high speed racing!

  • what exactly do the drivers control? can you actually turn the cars or do they ride on a groove cut in the track? is this by the alamo draft house, i wanna come watch this.

  • my last car was a wing car with a group 7 motor, killed the track batteries al the time.

  • Slot car racing was my life in the 60's . Glad to see That it's still alive. Ty!
