I've got only a suggestion: you play D9 - A4/C# - Bm7/4 - G6/9 (just by playing D9 and changing the bass from D to C#, B and G). it's nice but it will be really better if you put A instead of C# on the bass. The final result would be D9 - A4 - Bm7/4 - G6/9 (playing D9 and changing the bass from D to A, B and G).

Just a suggestion. Try to and let me know if you like or not.
