Yes that's right because Jonas spoke english didn't he and not Hebrew...so obviously he would have said whale back in 750 B.C. and they knew that whales were mammals back then!
Silly Marine Biologists and their research findings of whales chewing their food and having gastric acids in their bellies and taking only a mere 12 hours to completely digest the contents in their bellies......Obviously these so called scientists have never read that one book that was written by elders trying to enforce "acceptable" behaviors on others back before we kept a calender... so take that smarty pants, we know the truth from that one little book! lol
Only always. I love this story for its contradictory messages, and too for its complete lack of literal possibility. Three days in the acid filled belly of a living animal without a breathable atmosphere. I'm surprised the "great whale" didn't talk like the serpent, and the donkey, lol.
Jonah was a prophet from Galilee and his story takes place somewhere between 780 B.C and 760 B.C. During this period of history, Assyria was a powerful, evil nation and Israels most dreaded enemy
