Why do bad things happen?

Do we suffer because God enjoys punishing us?
Or, is there another possibility?

Sin is not bad because God said, 'No'.
God said, 'No', because sin is bad!
(It's really that simple!)

Now, people want to know why bad things happen at all.
There are actions and there are consequences for those actions.
God is our Creator.
So, He certainly knows what we should and should not do.
Let's do ourselves a favor and pay attention to what He says.
After all, He 'probably' knows more than you do, right?

Question

Lev. 18:22 states that "You shall not lie with a male as one lies with a female; it is an abomination."

basicaly meaning homosexualy is wrong should be banned etc.

yet.. Exous 31 15 states:

For six days, work is to be done, but the seventh day is a Sabbath of rest, holy to the lord. Whoever does any work on the Sabbath day must be put to death.

If you lot are so vehimently anti-homosexual because of what the bible says why are you not out putting to death anyone working on a sunday?

God laid down the law in order to show us how futile it is for us to try and obey it.

NOBODY can obey the whole law. It's impossible and that's the point.

That's why Jesus had to do it for us and we're able to ride his coattails into a restored relationship with God.

We now live in the New Testament where the grace of God reigns supreme and we don't have to kill each other for breaking the law.

All the answers are in the book.
