Interest.co.nz Bernard Hickey talks to Alison Mau from TVNZ's Breakfast programme about a blog entry on NZHerald.co.nz in which he argues Generation X and Y need to leave the country as soon as possible because Babyboomers have cemented in the biggest transfer of wealth between generations in the history of New Zealand.
You are incorrect tanerakau - Untaxed property investment is obviously ultimately destructive to our economy. With investment going to housing bubble instead of business that can create jobs young talented Nz s will leave as already there are not enough jobs that pay well enough to buy housing -perhaps youd like to declare your property interests. Untaxed property investment is parasitic

Bernard, why don't you lead by example. This kind of toy-tossing pseudo-intellectual snivelling is you stock in trade but doesn;t impress those of us who have saved and bought houses and got on with our lives. I'm not an X, Y or Z person, but not a boomer either. I just fit in between and work hard and look after my family. You on the other hand have a huge chip on your shoudler about property. Scaremongering isn't going to change how things are.

Sense?? Hello this is total drivel. Gen Y need to be told to buy their own home and stop buying flat screen TV's and new cars. Patent anti wealth nonsense IMHO
