Fencing Masters Semifinal - Daryl Homer USA and Aldo Montano ITA

This is one of two semifinals in the Fencing Masters Tournament. Daryl Homer from the United States is on the right and Olympic Gold and Bronze medalist Aldo Montano from Italy is on the left. This is a bout to fifteen touches in which the winner advances and the loser is eliminated from the tournament. Daryl Homer defeated Olympic Gold and Silver medalist Nicolas Lopez in the previous round and Aldo Montano defeated Dan Bak from the US.

@Alike1 thats how its staged? because daryl was attacking differently than he usually does and tim won the tournament? tim has a winning record against all three of the people that he fenced against. and did you happen to notice that montano and lopez looked like they didnt really want to be there? they got paid already what did they need to try for? i watched the final, there were a lot of random/accidental touches, it definitely didnt look staged to me

ref sounds so preppy. "fencers ready? fence!" sounds soo stupid. its funny cus he knwos how to pronounce "abstention" perfectly! im sure "prete and aller" isnt that hard.

@killakay251 it's just a nickname cyrusofchaos kind of 'donned' on Aldo's uber attack in preparation(s) that seem to work for him. Fast footwork, increasing momentum, prep x100, feints x1000, one light: trample attack. Weakness: balls, good counter-time. Most people run scared or get "trampled" ...heh.

Not to be rude, but I think Lopez should have, by far, won this tournament. He's so much better than Homer and Morehouse....

@MiNDx1er Those "ropes" are actually the wires that hook them up to the machine so that when either one of their blades connect with the other's jacket, his light would turn on. (sorry if my grammar is weird)

Im srry i have no idea what the rules are to fencing... but why are they tied to ropes? Not trying to be rude here, i just want to know.
