the princess in the cage

There once was a princess locked in a cage.
She couldn't escape from her prison, no matter how hard she tried so she sang for someone to come and rescue her.
Her prison was strong, though many brave knights sought to break it open to free the princess.
With no one who could get to her cage, she was destined to sing for them forever.
Every day she looked out of the tower to see if anyone was coming for her, and they never were. Until one day, she spotted a prince standing below her tower, looking up for her.
She watched his struggle with bated breath as he broke the seals on her prison and finally he reached her in the top of the dream tower.
"I've finally found you," he said.
"Is it really you?" she replied, "the one who will rescue me?"
Her heart was filled with joy, but inside she knew something bad would happen. She ignored the premonition, and, finally happy, she stopped singing for someone to rescue her.
When the princess stopped singing the spell holding the dream tower in existence was broken and all inside it was destroyed.
And the princess sings no more.
