He's nicely dressed
maybe he's happy
or maybe he's just not poor

You might have guessed
he had a family
and on the side
a weekend whore

"He's unsure
what tomorrow

She photographs
maybe she's happy
placing pretty pictures
in her dresser drawer

You might have guessed
she'll change her job
stick with it
for one more month

They dance
laughter everywhere everywhere
and they still
going nowhere yet aware
they talk
chatter everywhere everywhere
yet they still going nowhere
yet aware
of the music in their hearts
in their minds in their hearts
of the music in their hearts
in their MINDS in their hearts

And late at the bar
they sit far across
both had had hard times at their jobs
and they wonder
is there anyone there
who hears the music in their hearts
