I love Discovery Channel's "The World is just Awesome" ad. I've been humming the tune so much I've decided to make my own, thinking: "Hey, what if people want to create their own Boom De Ya Da movies, but lack the music for it?"

Well, this is the result. It's far from perfect and it includes the piano, which "represents" people singing. I can also upload a version without the piano.

As for copyrights, I presume creating the score by listening to the original is fine, considering the ad was meant to be reproduced by people on YouTube. :)

Please ignore the actual video. I've just put in something so it wasn't all blank.

  • Thanks for making this score! I used it to create a webcomic parody :)

  • @Insanelyinane You're very welcome! Hope it came out well. :)

  • I like it. Btw do u have the second part. like there is a continuous to the song. Like i love the mountain i love the sun so bright etc. Do u have that or can u add that. if so please send it to me i will make a video. thank you

  • @siegeman There's no 'seconds part'. What you hear here is similar to what you hear in the commercial. The length is almost completely matched. Try singing along and you'll see that there's enough for those "I love the..." parts. :p

  • Hi. Thanks for this. I am using it as the background music for a video game fan video.

  • @peterlouis101010 You're most welcome! I wish I could send you the original file but my HDD died on me a few months ago, taking with it the unmixed and the mixed file. :( And I haven't composed anything since then, because I've lost most of my work... (suits me right not to have any real backup copies, sigh).

  • Hey! That was sooo nice of you. Is there anyway we can download this (sorry if I sound dumb but I'm somewhat new to movie making). Thanks!

  • Wow, you did this all by ear ? That is some *serious* talent, dude - way to go :) Five stars from me :)

  • @MetalCanyon That sucks. I use SyncToy to backup to an external drive. It's just a two click procedure.

  • Forgot the url: watch?v=SYPG2E7Uuas

  • @MetalCanyon ok nevermind lol, great job anyways

  • @perfectsniped Thank you! Unfortunately, a tutorial would be impossible, unless you wish to know how to work with the program I've used to compose this. Otherwise it was all done by ear, IE. listening to the original and trying to write down each instrument and their notes individually in my mind. :)
