The B.T.U. production team from Michigan State University's Lyman Briggs College presents a documentary film that attempts to debunk the West Nile Virus fears of late 2003-2004 in the US. This particular news event full of hyperbole was used as an example yet is clearly not the only representative of when ill-informed journalist reports can "hype" a story to engage interest and increase ratings.
This film was created as part of a senior thesis research project in a course at Michigan State University. Learn more here: http://www.msu.edu/course/lbs/492/luckie
