GLC in Kalkaska MI

GLC 385 and 389 pull into Kalkaska with 18 cars. The pole cars were picked up in manton and left on the siding in Kalkaska to be picked up on the trip south. The train also included covered hoppers with plastics and cement. and two tank cars also dropped in Kalkaska.

Now this line ends in Petoskey, It used to go up to Mackinaw City, then circled back around to Gaylord and Grayling and going southward.

I remember when this was Penn Central. I am from Kalkaska, livein Tampa, FL.

Back then yur rarely seen Hopper and Tank cars, Just mainly Box, Flat and Gondola cars. and pole cars too.
