It was really hard to rank because every Dream Theater Album is Amaizing in so many different ways, but i think it would go something like this: 1. Images and Words Ofc! 2. Metropolis Pt. 2: Scenes from a Memory 3. Black Clouds and Silver Linings 4. Awake 5. Octavarium 6. Train Of Thought 7. Six Degrees of Inner Turbulence 8. Systematic Chaos 9. A Change Of Season 10 . Falling Into Infinity 11. When Dream and Day Unite Looking forward to A Dramatic Turn of Events :D

I lean towards the really diverse/progressive albums and the lighter, melodic ones more than the really metal albums, so my top 10 is: 1) Six Degrees Of Inner Turbulence 2) Images And Words 3) Awake 4) Scenes From A Memory 5) Octavarium 6) Systematic Chaos 7) Train Of Thought 8) Black Clouds And Silver Linings 9) Falling Into Infinity 10) When Dream And Day Unite

@marioluigiplush I happen to like albums from Metropolis Pt 2 - Black Clouds more than Dream And Day - Infinity as they seem more heavier or epic to me, but Important songs from those earlier days for me would be A Fortune In Lies, Ytse Jam, Only A Matter Of Time, Pull Me Under, Another Day, Take The Time, Metropolis Pt 1, Under A Glass Moon, Caught In A Web, Erotomania, The Mirror, Lie, New Millennium, Peruvian Skies, Hell's Kitchen, Lines In The Sand and Trial Of Tears, everything else later

@Vdrum1010 I can see your comment is from 1 year ago but I prefer albums from Scenes to Black Clouds than Dream and Day to Infinity, just sound heavier, thought I find all the albums from and after Train of Thought the heaviest

Huh... people sure have diverse opinions. 1. Scenes 2. Six Digrees 3. Images and Words 4. Train of Thought 5. Awake 6. Falling Into Infinity 7. Octavarium 8. Systematic Chaos 9. Dream and Day 10. Black Clouds First seven are all master pieces in my opinion. Last three rather disappointed me.
