Shayla RIP

yesterday shayla seemed to be normal and happy. she went into her room to sleep at her normal time. my grandma had to go into her room at around 11pm that night to tell her to go to sleep, shayla was writing down a song. so she turned the lights off and went to sleep. she had her cell phone with her. she had been having a hard time with another girl going after one of her ex-boyfriends so lately she had been getting nasty texts and it was keeping her up at night. monday night she had went into my grandma's room very upset and crying over something the girl had said to her. anyways sometime during the course of last night or early this morning shayla took her life. around 5am when my grandma came to wake her up shayla was found hanging by a cord in her closet with the door closed and a note was left on her bed, im not going to tell what the note says that is for me and my family.


i love my sister so much and i'm speechless right now. i never ever wanted this to happen to my friends and deffinatly not my family. i love you shayla more than anything in the world and i wish you could come back.


shayla has been suffering with depression for over 2 years now when she was diagnosed with dysthma. she had been on numerous anti-depressants. she also had been suffering with alot of stomach problems which took a toll on her. recently about a month ago she had mentioned that she'd wanted to take her life but the next day was brought into her counselor and we thought everything was fine after that.
if anyone ever tells you that they are going to take their life GET THEM HELP RIGHT AWAY PLEASE

I lost a brother...it wasn't exactly of the same caliber that you are dealing with, but it does hurt. I hope that your family is okay and that the pain has somewhat subsided and there is happiness for her to be out of depression. I know it's hard to accept, but it was her decision. And even though it seems alien to us who have never had to deal with medical depression, it was probably logical to her. These videos never provoke feelings in me, but this one actually made me cry. I'm so sorry.
