Lou,
Good call on shorting. There are some calling a top at SPX 1100, including Bob Prechter. I have been building up a short position, buying at highs for a while, but it has been painful, especially this week. This artificial "rally" came out of nowhere as they often seem to. I think the Russell 2000 is going to deliver better performance on shorting than the Dow, which seems more out of sync with reality.

thanks lou check out bob chapmans latest audio he says dont short the metals dont wait for a dip.maybe he is just to deep in the pockets with the metal dealers whos to no what to believe anymore.
