This is a video of an old theory I had on certain effects of creating a "bubble" like plasma shield around a craft or magnetic vessel. Theoretically, if used on a large scale, it could deflected certain ionizing solar radiations. Much the same way the Earth's magnetosphere does for us everyday. This is not a very good setup and i do not still support my old theory. This video is for archival purposes only.

  • I honestly think it is an inert gas in the flask

  • @TheTaylorhorton It's just air I promise, it just looks really pretty for some reason. ;-)

  • this is kind of neat, i remember when i was little i thought about a kind of electrical shield that would protect against missiles but it wouldnt work because it would probably use far to much energy and randomly kill the people inside

  • @smokescreenninjato In an environment similar to the edge of space, this device's range could expand to a half meter or so. If a megawatt was put into this design and operated at 35km up or so(very low in terms of space applications) it could easily have a diameter of 15 meters depending on voltage and magnetic field strength, perfect for a low scale shield capable of destroying small incoming projectiles.

  • you should make that into a bong!

  • @jmbrown8273 mmmm plasma bong....perfect vaporization in a vacuum environment.....if only I smoked.

  • @Substance16 I put the music on there because some of the information given in the video is incorrect. Pretty much everything I had said in the video is in the description.

  • No explanation whatsoever, annoying music, shaky video in 240p with out-of-focus pictures. Summing it all up: THUMBS DOWN.

  • This is the basis for the Egyptian Lightblub.

  • give this kid a thumbs up for putting Creed for this vid

  • this kinda look like farnsworth crt

  • oxygen converts into ozone gas when air is ionized, thats why the spark expands

  • @xxkittenkiller normal atmospheric gases

  • so what kind of gas did you insert into the flask?
