This is my betta named Snowball. He loves worms. He gets 4 or 5 pellets in the morning, two bloodworms for lunch and usually 2 live black worms for supper. I did not mean to feed him the worm bread, that was an accident as I have to remove my glasses to do up close things and I didn't see that I had picked it up. Snowball is an awesome fish. Initially he was afraid of my dog and now he flares his fins and stands his ground against her, even when she tries to bite the tank! I know his tank is a little small (1.5 gallons) but a 5 gallon will be arriving this week with lots of fun betta accessories :O) Video to come.

EDIT: I have this paranoia that the black worms will somehow reproduce in the substrate if the fish does not get them and somehow get out of the tank. Intellectually I understand that is not going to happen but when I see worms disappear into the substrate it makes me a little nauseous.

Last night when heading to the bathroom for a midnight pee i stepped on a snail. Fricken sick in bare feet, crunchy and slimy all at the same time. Brand new wool carpet and I am rubbing smushed snail into it.

  • @Jarthurs2009

  • @crazychookLOL

he got in a fight before i bought him, they were going to flush ... but his fins are beautiful again now :O)

  • hmm i boiught a new betta tank 2.4 gallon, still with heater one of them still wont eat, i tried feeding them frozen blood worms, how do u feed ur betta with them?, wat do i do with the left over?, or how can i cut the frozen blood worms in peices or 2 or 4

  • @shorteeayy

i have a pair of giant tweezers that i take a cube and shake it in the puffer tank, then the two betta tanks and the frog tank ... as soon as the frozen cube hits the warm water they start to defrost ... when i only had the puffs i would feed them half a cube and put the rest in the fridge for the next day ... but i would not keep them more than two days unthawed ... i have not found the need to cut mine as both snowball and joey (new betta who is quite small), both will eat them
