It's because of government that Singapore has earned a world renowned reputation that makes it the number one location for expats. I hope the Singaporean people realize that currently the government is a key reason for attracting so much foreign money into the state. Without the highly ordered and well planned development by government, Singapore would not be the thriving global business centre of the world.

Propaganda? i believe there are, but i also believe that in every country there are propaganda. so, whats th point arguing over that? i just think that th PAP had already did a good job and there are no need for a new party. If others think that Singaporean are afraid of th government. not really actually. there are no way to fulfill every Singaporean request. and if you see what th PAP really did over th years, i think Singaporean are not afraid but are grateful. PAP really did a good job.

ya i think you right in some ways. as the government practices "meritocracy". but, what do you think will happen if th SDP did not do a good job? it will result in Singapore not developing over those years and thats what th we do not want and taiwan is one example, chen shui bian being th government and result in taiwan not developing for 10years? i guess.

When you give up your basic human right to speak up, the government doesn't need to worry about accountability or transparency.
