those executives with all that red tape got to him. he should have let it roll off his shoulders, what a waste of human life

wow man, i thought my music knowledge was pretty impressive for my age, but i am blown away by all the shit you have, new subscriber here. good job

Pete was like a prism. Seems like he took in everything that was going on...and what came out was always beautiful.

Pete, you sure did that Gibson SG right! Thanks Iveys! Thanks Dan!

@GraceBarrett One more thing...that comment you made about Clapton--I couldn't agree more! He gets far too much credit (no offense to him meant though). Sometimes, it seems that he's literally just playing one famous blues lick after the other. To be quite honest, there are so many guitarists out there that are a whole lot better than Clapton--Pete Ham, Albert Lee, Brad Paisley, Eric Johnson, Jeff Beck, Tommy Emmanuel, Chet Atkins, Jerry Reed and Mountain's Leslie West to name just a few.
@cdadave83814 That's what's amazing. Dan has taken those horrible speeded-up bootleg tracks and made them very listenable here. We can only dream what might have been for Pete and Tom... Has any guitar magazine ever recognized Pete's talent or are they working on article #15,789 about Eric Clapton?

Is there one note of his playing here that isn't sheer nirvana! What an incredibly melodic, raw, in-the-pocket knock-out performance! And though it is standard blues, shows what a natural he was. He could've been Peter Green before Peter Green! Oh, I forgot, he sang great, wrote classic songs, was a superb human being...
